To effectively run homework assignments and review exams, you need a screen resolution of at least 800 x 600. Other operating systems have different methods of adjusting screen size - consult your online help or manual.

This is usually a firewall issue. Most cable modems or DSL modems include
built-in firewalls, and there are many software firewalls that you can
install on PCs (McAfee, eTrust, Encore, Symantec, and many others).
In addition, Windows XP includes a built-in software firewall.
The Homework and Review Exam applications need to communicate with the Math
Department server on a particular TCP port that some firewalls block by
default. The detailed configuration that is required is:
Server: online.math.colostate.edu
TCP Port: 28090
Check the documentation that came with your particular firewall for
information on configuring access to this port, or forward this information
to the person who configures your firewall settings.
